About Me

pearl-individual Pearl Lee Schroy, PhD, is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, and of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Pearl holds a doctoral degree in behavioral neuroscience and a bachelor of science degree in biology. She has dedicated over a decade of her life to studying and researching the physiological basis of behavior. For seven of those years, she worked with a Penn State based team lead by Dr. Sue Grigson, conducting experiments with the hope of providing insight into the workings of addiction. This work explored how individual differences in learning, response to stress, and genetics all play significant roles in one’s propensity to transition from substance use to abuse.

Over the past few years, Pearl has traveled abroad and has engaged in training that requires a more intimate look at the human condition. Her mission is to bridge together various schools of thought and support the evolution of new forms of education in the modern world.

She currently resides in Denver, CO, working as a life coach. Pearl spends her spare time engaging in writing, video, and film projects that give rise to hope, beauty, and exploration of the human experience.
